Resolution 2003-3, expressing our strong support for the members of the Armed Forces of the United States and those of our allies, who have been called upon to engage in military action in Iraq.

WHEREAS, nearly 300,000 members of the Armed Forces of the United States are currently deployed in and near the Persian Gulf region; and

WHEREAS, these American and Allied military personnel have been separated from their families in support of our nation in Iraq; and

WHEREAS, the Florida Police Chiefs Association recognizes these gallant defenders who at great risk and hardship serve their country and protect our freedom; and

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Florida Police Chiefs Association expresses its strong support for the members of the Armed Forces of the United States and our allies for their sacrifice, professionalism and courage as they engage in military action in Iraq. Moreover, we salute these brave men and women for their service to their country,  and pray for their safe return to their homes and families.

PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 25h DAY OF MARCH, 2003, at a duly constituted meeting of the Board of Directors of the Florida Police Chiefs Association, in Tallahassee, Florida.
