WHEREAS, it is the responsibility of the Florida Police Chiefs to inform their citizens of issues
which threaten their safety and the safety of their children; and

quality of life, the integrity of the infrastructure, and the health and safety of our citizens.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED THAT, the Florida Police Chiefs
Association strongly opposes any proposal which would relax laws which limit the size and
weight of trucks operating on the roadways within the State of Florida.
