The Florida Police Chiefs Association is holding its Mid-Winter Conference and Exposition from January 11th - 13th, 2009, at the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village, in St. Augustine, Florida and you are cordially invited to attend. Once again, we anticipate that booth space will sell out well in advance of the conference - don't get left out - send in your registration form today! If we do not receive your registration form by December 20, 2008 your company will NOT be listed in the Conference Program.

Attendance and Location ...

As our veteran vendors know, we broke all attendance records at our last mid-winter conference and the exhibition space was sold out well in advance. We anticipate excellent attendance from our membership of over 750 police executives. We would like you to exhibit your latest, innovative products and services to these decision makers. Once again this year, we will send special invitations to local Sheriff's Offices, command staff, and purchasing personnel of surrounding departments, as well as corporate security directors, to view the exhibits free of charge. The Renaissance Resort will host this training conference and exposition and will allow food and drink in the vendor area to enhance viewing hours. Exhibit Dates ...

Sunday, January 11th, 2009 - Monday, January 12th, 2009.
Vendor registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and vendors may begin setup at 1:00 p.m. The Exposition will open at 5:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon with a lavish reception and will continue until 7:00 p.m. The Annual Pizza Party, sponsored by L.A.W. Publications, will immediately follow the Member/Vendor Reception. The exhibit hours for Monday are from 7:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., and will include Open House for local Law Enforcement Offices, command staff, and purchasing personnel of surrounding agencies and cities. Monday includes a four hour training session for the chiefs with the vendors in the Exposition Hall. This session will begin at 10:30 a.m. and continue until 2:30 p.m. A mid-morning coffee break and luncheon will be provided for everyone in the Exposition Hall. The Exposition will close at 2:30 p.m., and door prizes for our vendors will be given at that time. Note: Early breakdown will result in a $200.00 fee and last booth choice at the next FPCA exhibition attended.

Exposition Area Information ...

Vehicles will have access to the exposition area. Floor load capacity is 15 lbs. per square foot. Street access/loading dock door information: Interior, 8'10" high x 11'10" wide; Exterior, 8'10" high x 11' 10" wide. The facility also is capable of supplying single and three phase electric, as well as fiber optic access to phone and data. Marketing your company ...

FPCA's unique vendor directory check-off concept will be used again during our Mid-Winter Conference as it continues to receive a positive response from both the Chiefs and vendors. In order for our members to participate in the prize drawings, they must get each vendor to initial their vendor card. We will also have a special door prize for our "Mystery Vendor" drawing. During the 56th Annual Summer Conference we gave vendors an opportunity to "score" the Chiefs' participation in the Exhibition. The top five high scores earned the recipient exceptional door prizes, and due to its success, we are bringing this concept back to the Mid-Winter Conference - but with a slight change. Instead of points, at the end of the Expo, we will ask each vendor to submit the names of three Chiefs they feel best participated in the Exhibition and three Chiefs receiving the most votes will win valuable door prizes. Perhaps your company would like to contribute an item? Hotel accommodations will be handled directly by the Renaissance Resort at World Golf Village which is located directly off Interstate 95 at 500 South Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, Florida 32092.
