A message from FPCA's President, Chief Richard M. Beary:
Thank You

As my tenure as your President comes to an end, I want to thank you for allowing me
the honor to represent our Association. It has been a challenging and rewarding experience. It would be impossible to lead
a statewide organization without the assistance of many people. Our small staff (Hal Robbins, Sabrina Counts, and Amy Borgerson)
does a superb job. They constantly remain committed to making our association successful.
Our District Directors provide guidance and support on the many issues that face us each year. They always keep the member
perspective in focus as a topic is debated. Our legislative committee efforts paid dividends again this year. Several key pieces
of legislation passed due to our support. Additionally, several bills that were not conducive to professional law enforcement
did not get out of committee due to our efforts. Major George Aylesworth, our legislative chairman, works tirelessly during session to
monitor the volume of bills drafted. Our training committee continually provides timely and thought-provoking programs to meet our
professional needs. Lastly, I want to thank our many vendors who faithfully attend and support our conferences. Their support
is vital to our Association. Please take the time during our summer conference to visit with them and evaluate their products and services.
I look forward to visiting with you in Daytona Beach.
