Technology GraphicThe Florida Police Chiefs Association has developed the Technology Center with the objective of providing those executives who may be considering application(s) of technology,  with the benefit of knowledge and/or experience gained by other law enforcement professionals in the State of Florida.

The Association supports the premise that the application of technology enables law enforcement to better serve their communities, improve public safety and enhance the quality of life for the millions of people who live, work and play in the State of Florida.

We encourage law enforcement agencies to cooperate with the Technology Committee, chaired by Chief Wes Smith,Lake Clarke Shores P.S.  as they examine the application and utilization of technology throughout our state.   Information gathered by the committee will provide valuable insight into the collective experiences of other public safety organizations as they seek to become more effective and efficient in the delivery of police services.

It should be noted that decisions to purchase or retain technology are based upon a variety of factors including: existing hardware/software; compatibility issues; bid requirements; and cost.

Information provided herein is intended to facilitate the purchase and use of technology by law enforcement agencies and does not constitute an endorsement of any vendor, particular product, or service by the Florida Police Chiefs Association.
