The City of Quincy Police Department is
seeking individuals who are interested in joining a dedicated, professional and committed
team of law enforcers. This position requires individuals who understand the value
and concept of working in a team environment and is committed to serving the Quincy
community. Job responsibilities include and are not limited to, standard patrol,
enforcing criminal and traffic statutes, police within a community oriented policing
environment and employ pro-active policing techniques for the protection of life and
property. In addition, the incumbent must have a working knowledge of conducting
preliminary investigations, preservation of crime scenes and coordination with other
agencies in the prosecution of criminals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Any combination equivalent to H.S. diploma or G.E.D.
- Must have a valid state of Florida police officer certification.
- No criminal history - no felony charges, arrests or convictions
- Must have strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Products: Word and Excel).
- Must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
- Required to live within a thirty mile radius of the police station.
